Welcome to 2019, and back to your regularly-scheduled recently.
Reading is a little light right now: I’m still reading REAMDE, a fiction ‘technothriller’ by Neal Stephenson. It’s entertaining, fast, and a welcome change from the many nonfiction & history books I consumed in 2018.
I’ve been focusing on music coming out of Chicago - I’m really liking Slow Mass, which feels a little like DC-area Foozle. Date Stuff, was a great find, and of course there’s always more of the incredibly talented & prolific Nnamdi Ogbonnaya to discover.
I’m quitting Netflix (again) and trying to stay off of YouTube, so my watching lists will be pretty slim for a bit. I’ll watch some movies in theaters - very excited for Us.
